Christian, remember what God does with your sin.

One of the disciplines of the Christian faith is remembering and reorienting your mind to the truths of what God does with your sin. Tim Challies wrote on this weeks ago that I’ll briefly summarize. He writes,

  1. God throws your sin into the sea (Micah 7:19)
  2. God treads your sin underfoot (Micah 7:19)
  3. God throws your sin behind his back (Isaiah 38:17)
  4. God blots out your sin (Isaiah 43:25)
  5. God forgets your sin (Hebrews 8:12)
  6. God removes your sin (Psalm 103:12)
  7. God covers your sin (Romans 4:7-8)
  8. God takes away your sin (John 1:29)
  9. God cancels the debt of your sin (Colossians 2:14)
  10. God washes your sin (Isaiah 1:18)
  11. God forgives your sin (1 John 1:9)
  12. God laid your sin on Jesus (2 Corinthians 5:21)
