Pastor Mark Dever has a good word here on training and mentoring men for ministry.  At the church where I serve (Oak Park Baptist) we have put together an internship program.  You can see the following document entitled “Internship Proposal” for further review of what we do at Oak Park.  As most things are, our expectations are constantly evolving.  But what remains is that my fellows pastors and I want to make it a point to reproduce ourselves (the good and not the bad!) in other men who want to yield their lives to making much of Jesus and His glorious gospel.
