As a pastor whose primary job is to preach the word I struggle from week-to-week with questions I can ask to determine the “effectiveness” of my preaching. Dr. Lawless’ questions are questions that 1) I’m going to implement in a weekly evaluation of my preaching and 2) questions I’m going to give to some men in the church where I serve (Foothills Church) to also evaluate my preaching.

If you’re the individual who is serving the main diet of preaching at the church I’d encourage you to have some format to help you ascertain “am I being a good steward of the time, people, responsibility that God has given me?”
